Main Components and Functions
Fiber Creel: Holds multiple rolls of fiberglass yarn, providing the fiber source for parallel production of four-strand bars.
Impregnation System: Ensures thorough resin saturation of the fiber bundles. Equipped with constant temperature heating (e.g., water bath heating) to maintain stable resin fluidity, achieving uniform impregnation.
Pre-forming Device: Preliminarily shapes the impregnated fiber bundles and squeezes out excess resin, preparing them for entry into the mold.
Heated Curing Die: The core component. Cures the resin through heating. Four-strand production lines use multi-cavity dies to form multiple bars in one pass. In addition to conventional electric heating, new technologies such as microwave heating are available for more uniform internal and external heating.
Pulling Device: Provides continuous and stable pulling force to draw the fibers through the entire production line. Available in hydraulic and caterpillar types, delivering sufficient clamping force without damaging the product surface.
Cutting Device: Automatically cuts the cured continuous profiles to preset lengths. Typically adopts a flying cut-off system that performs cutting while the product is in motion.
Applications
GFRP single bar is a high-performance alternative to traditional steel rebar, primarily used in concrete structures where steel corrosion is a concern or where lightweight and electrical insulation are required. In addition, the single bar also serves as the basic unit for further weaving or assembling into GFRP fiber mesh — by crossing and connecting in longitudinal and transverse directions to form a grid-like reinforcement material, widely used in surface reinforcement applications such as concrete slabs, walls, and support structures.
